If you would like hint the back window you've got to cut actual lines around all the defroster lines to get it to paste correctly to the window. This is boring and takes an avid eye to get it right.
While those reasons will deter a few people, it can be done if you've got the time and ability. Be certain to buy quality hint before you attempt the job. Inexpensive hint is tough to work with and doesn't last. Many times folk have to get the job done again in only one or two years. Overall, if you can do this job yourself you'll save a handful of money. You've got to weigh the price tag vs benefit to determine if it's the right choice for your window coloring wishes.
